Under the guidance of the Chief Financial Officer: Implements procedures assuring accounting policies set forth by the Board are met; responsible for coordination of all records and reports for Foundation financial information and general office operations.

Weekly accounts payable processing, cutting of manual checks, processing ACH batches, data entry and filing; undertakes A/P and A/R research as requested by other staff and vendors; handles vendor account analysis; assists with preparation of year-end 1099 tax forms, including requesting updated information from vendors and maintaining current vendor files; prepares monthly accounts payable adjusting journal entries and assists with input and posting of all month end journal entries; assists with monthly bank reconciliations and reconciliations of accounts payable sub-ledger to general ledger; prepares daily cash receipts processing, depositing of checks, data entry and filing; responsible for other data entry that may arise. Prepares customer invoices and maintains A/R accounts/sub-ledgers. Follows up on amounts due to the organization through collections of outstanding A/R. Records monthly IOLTA reports and revenue to ensure cash receipts received from all banks tie to the reports. Responsible for ordering and maintaining office and kitchen supplies. Assists the accounting team with quarterly finance committee meeting preparation and attendance. May assists with annual audit by preparing work papers. May prepare schedules to assist in preparation of tax return. Handles special miscellaneous assignments and reconciliations as requested by supervisor. Suggests ways to reengineer current processes or implements new processes. Provides backup for other team members in their absence.

Associates degree in Accounting or related field preferred. • At least 2-3 years of experience in a similar accounting position required. • Must be comfortable in a Windows environment and have strong Microsoft Excel skills; knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics a plus. • Understanding of accrual accounting. • Typing 45+ wpm. • Must have accurate and rapid ten-key skills. • Ability to communicate effectively over the telephone and in written communications. • Ability to handle and maintain the confidentiality of highly sensitive information. • Willingness and ability to work with minimal or no supervision in a team based atmosphere.
