As the Email Marketing Specialist for the Phoenix Children’s Hospital Foundation, you’ll be tasked with working cross functionally to plan, write, project manage, measure, and report on email campaigns to our constituent base. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is comfortable working across multiple teams to lead the Foundation’s email production process and related projects from start to finish. The ideal professional fit is collaborative, proactive, analytical, a strategic thinker, and effective influencer. You’ll need exceptional verbal and written communications, plus an ability to develop data-driven strategies. Exceptional project management skills are critical for success in this role, and experience with Blackbaud’s Raiser Edge and Luminate Online tools are preferred. You will ultimately be responsible for the success of the Foundation’s email program. The right person for this role will have at least 3 years of experience in email marketing with a strong technical knowledge in campaign production and execution.

• Manage end-to-end execution of email campaigns, developing strategy, building, managing, analyzing, scheduling testing, and optimizing email campaigns. • Build and maintain email lists • Implement effective and efficient processes for generating leads via email marketing • Manage end-to-end email campaign production and execution, including sophisticated email program setup and automated personalization • Create and maintain the email marketing calendar • Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop content, timing, audience and strategy • Review and optimize triggered emails for welcome messaging, gift confirmations, donor stewardship, and drip campaigns • Proofread emails, with meticulous attention to grammar and spelling • Segment audiences to ensure delivery of relevant content • Identify and implement innovative messaging to drive conversions at scale • Provide designers with strategic direction to design and develop email campaigns • Execute a thoughtful A/B and multivariate testing program (subject lines, layout, creative, timing, frequency, segmentation, etc.) to continuously improve email performance focused on driving revenue and other goals • Execute test plans to ensure ongoing email optimization • Identify and resolve deliverability issues, bounce backs, spam complaints, and opt-outs • Pull campaign reporting, analyze performance and make date-driven creative and strategic optimization recommendations • Optimize emails for deliverability, open rates, click through, conversion and mobile devices. • Analyze and report on specific campaigns, objectives, results and KPIs highlighting success, trends and opportunities for improvement • Socialize results and turn analysis into insights for future programs or campaigns enhancements & refinements. • Keep up-to-date with knowledge of industry best practices for email creative and templates, segmentation, dynamic content, and testing methodologies • Manage projects to ensure communication across teams, and that deadlines are met

• Proficiency with HTML • 3+ years of experience in email marketing, program management and implementation

• 3+ years of experience in email marketing, program management and implementation • Infectious energy for building innovative customer experiences and passion for nurturing long-term customer loyalty • Ability to think critically and make optimization decisions based off of data analytics • Knowledge of email best practices, deliverability, reputation management, CAN-SPAM compliance and changing industry trends • Experience with A/B testing, multivariate test strategies, and test planning • Ability to work well under pressure, with tight deadlines, and cope with changes • Incredible attention to detail and an eye for quality • Comfortable with ambiguity and creating processes in complex environments to drive progress. • Superb project management expertise including excellent multi-tasking, prioritization and organization skills. • Proficiency in working independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment • Proficiency with HTML • Proficiency with Luminate Online is strongly preferred • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
