The Marketing Program Coordinator provides professional level support in organizing and coordinating transit programs in the marketing department. Typical duties might include: assisting with traditional and digital advertising and marketing campaigns, promoting transit events, special events, and public information programs; assisting with the development of print materials and publications; coordinating and maintaining media programs; organizing special events and outreach activities; conducting research; and conducting presentations to external groups and organizations. The Marketing Program Coordinator shall contribute to team efforts and represents Agency core values in the performance of duties.

Assists with the overall agency marketing strategy, planning, and communications for the agency and its services; developing regional awareness and increasing customer retention; Oversees and coordinates marketing projects within the department, which includes: maintaining timelines; maximizing budget, internal and external resources; proofing creative materials; printing collateral and posting web content; prioritizing work; updating information; Develops and maintains working relationships with internal Valley Metro clients and staff from all Valley member cities; sets up or participates at meetings as needed; develops content for marketing projects; oversees review process with stakeholders; evaluates, discusses and incorporates feedback for projects; Prepares, updates and revises a wide variety of marketing materials, communications plans, reports and/or other related information; Serves as a project coordinator for all assigned marketing assignments. Strong client relations, project prioritization, time management, proofing and organizational skills are required; Monitors projects within the marketing department to meet deadlines and ensure compliance with applicable departmental goals; Participates in developing, implementing, and maintaining program policies and procedures; Assists and guides various vendors, such as market research firms, public relations and advertising firms, design studios, and video production companies; Forecasts and maintains service, supply, and/or equipment needs; researches and prepares scopes of work, requests for proposals or quotes, requests for bid, service agreements, and/or other print or production related information; Serves as a liaison and conduit of information for internal departments, public agencies, external organizations, the general public, stakeholders, and/or other interested parties; Participates in a variety of meetings, working groups, committees, promotional events, and/or other related groups and activities; Participates in planning, coordinating, and overseeing special events and activities in assigned area of responsibility; Performs other duties of similar nature and level as assigned.

Developing strategies, scopes of work and other key documents for internal/external use; Prioritizing and assigning work; Speaking in public; Writing, editing and proofing a variety of materials; Establishing and maintaining effective and cooperative relationships with internal staff, community organizations and other public agencies; Analyzing and interpreting applicable laws, rules, and regulations; Conducting research; Solving problems; Responding to changing situations and needs; Facilitating meetings and training sessions; Developing goals and measurable objectives; Managing projects and creative staff; Using a computer and related software applications, Proficient with Microsoft Office; Social Media Platforms, Project Management Software, Adobe Creative Suite; Participating in the evaluation, analysis, and resolution of marketing/communications challenges; Handling multiple tasks simultaneously; Planning, organizing, and coordinating activities; Communicating in order to interact with co-workers, supervisor, and the general public at a level sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.

Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communication or a related field and two years of experience advertising/project marketing; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties such as those listed above. Advertising Agency experience is desirable.
