During this ten week internship you will be matched with a department that aligns to your degree or is in your area of expertise. In that setting, you will work with many different employees and leaders to gain a better understanding of specific healthcare functions, terminology, systems and databases, and advance your overall knowledge of business in a healthcare setting. This position is full-time, 40 hours per week for 10 weeks in length. Internships will begin June 1st, 2020. The Intern position is a temporary role, with the goal to transition to a full-time opportunity after successful Internship. Our Interns are compensated at a flat rate, in a per diem status that is not eligible for Banner Health benefits. We offer you the opportunity to own specific projects, bring exciting ideas, and display your creativity within the department you are matched with. Also, you will be able to network and create relationships with fellow interns during regularly scheduled developmental activities that we will host throughout the internship. Expands and develops knowledge with exposure to a variety of roles related to area of study. Participates on work teams, contributes to projects and initiatives, and performs various tasks as needed by the assigned unit/department. Performs research and prepares reports on assigned topics and /or projects when required.
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Photoshop. Educational background in Graphic Design.
Currently enrolled in an accredited college program with course work related to the internship or general knowledge normally obtained through the completion of a college degree. Must demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills. Must have general knowledge related to the department/unit/area of study.
