As a Content Writer, words are your tools to build trust and rapport with your audience. You will be part of a team of strategists, designers, managers, researchers and analysts who support content campaigns/programs for clients across B2B and B2C industries, including technology, education, finance, CPG, healthcare, real estate and more.
The ideal candidate works well in a fast-paced environment, has a passion for crafting stories about a variety of subjects and industries, and consistently meets deadlines while juggling multiple assignments. The candidate possesses impeccable research, writing and editing skills, all with a penchant for grammar, active voice and Associated Press style. The content writer will lead preliminary research, content ideation, strategy development, copywriting and editing and work in partnership with our Integrated Marketing team to ensure we deliver content that satisfies clients’ needs and meets our editorial standards for content that is as exciting, engaging and well-educated as any competitive online content. We require three writing samples, preferably a leadership topic from an executive’s perspective, a B2B technology topic and a consumer social post. Bylines should show a knack for storytelling in both hard-news and feature styles.
Responsibilities: · Write, edit, publish and source online content in a variety of formats, including articles, interviews, infographics, reports, whitepapers, podcasts, webinars, advertising assets, videos and more. · Produce content that shows clear understanding of a variety of industries. · Collaborate with the editorial manager and Integrated Marketing team to develop content strategies that meet stakeholder needs. · Manage editorial calendars across multiple clients. · Research industries/markets and relevant studies and/or interview high-level experts to develop engaging and relevant branded content. · Ensure content is keyworded properly for search engine optimization.
Qualifications: · Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Creative Writing or English, or equivalent practical experience. · Three to five years of experience as a writer for a consumer and/or business audience. · Superior writing, grammar and Associated Press style. · Creative writing and project management experience. · Experience writing for ad campaigns, blogs, long- and short-form copy assignments (whitepapers, reports and social posts), and video scripts. · Experience in agency environment or client a significant plus. · Passion for pop culture and current events/news. · Excellent organization and time-management skills.
