The Community & Public Relations Manager is responsible for enhancing Bashas’ Family of Stores relationship to the communities we serve through strategic and thoughtful community service initiatives, building and maintaining media relationships and internal communication efforts.

• Develop, initiate and implement a results-driven strategic community relations plan across Bashas’ Family of Stores brands with a focus on growth, innovation and collaboration • Identify and build strategic non-profit and media partnerships that elevate the Bashas’ Family of Stores brands across Arizona • Serve as media spokesperson for all Spanish media, public relations and customer service requests • Management of social media accounts for multiple brands across multiple platforms, including original content development and reporting • Work with media partners, community partners, vendors and internal departments to maximize business development opportunities • Direct and administer charitable contributions with Arizona non-profits and coordinate company volunteer programs and efforts • Represent Bashas’ Family of Stores at community events when necessary during and after standard work hours • Work as part of the communications team on strategies to enhance internal communications to over 8,000 members (“employees”) • Other duties as assigned

• Working knowledge of, and contacts within, Arizona’s non-profit sector • Advanced knowledge and understanding of Arizona’s media landscape, including broadcast, print & digital outlets • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Self-starter who can work with changing priorities and tight deadlines • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task on multiple projects at one time • Strong knowledge and confidence using multiple social media platforms • Creative problem-solving skills and ability to excel in a high-performance, fast-paced culture • Ability to build strong relationships internally/externally • Ability to translate English/Spanish documents for internal and external purposes • Comfortable presence on camera • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Bachelor’s Degree in journalism, communications, public relations or related field. Three to five years of professional experience. Bilingual Spanish/English required (read & write). Physical Requirements: Must be able to withstand periods of occasional extended standing/lifting. Must be able to lift/carry 25/50 lbs.
