The Communications Coordinator will assist with the development and tracking of messaging used by the Sprouts Communications team, including customer relations, social media, public relations and internal communications. They will support customer relations and communications by developing calendars, timelines and coordinating with Sprouts customers, influencers and media. The coordinator will represent Sprouts with external audiences, including customers, influencers and media, and must understand and convey our brand and values. They must have excellent writing and verbal communications skills, and an interest in customer relations, social/traditional media and internal communications. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone interested in growing a career in corporate communications.
Draft company messages for use with customers, media, influencers team members, and other audiences. Respond to customer inquiries and complaints and media inquiries. Assist with process improvements in regard to message development and usage for team and follow best practices. Tactfully provide customers and media with Sprouts company and product information; follow up on complicated inquiries or customer complaints as needed. Conduct research to compile accurate responses for inquiries and update messages periodically to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Communicate and coordinate with internal departments and stores, and represent the team in a helpful and professional manner. Develop and update agendas, timelines, calendars, tracking documents, media lists and more. Must have keen attention to detail. Support influencer and public relations programs through monitoring, developing reports and drafting presentations. Obtain and evaluate all relevant data to handle inquiries, must take in data from various sources at times. Accurately records details of comments, inquiries from external parties, takes actions for thorough follow-up. Must be interested in writing and communicating company information to various audiences, including team members.
Bachelor Degree or Associate Degree a relevant field An interest in a corporate career in communications Requires high energy, resilience, excellent time management skills, and the ability to prioritize and multi-task Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to draft error-free documents Strong decision-making and analytical abilities Ability to utilize appropriate discretion and judgment in dispensing information, which may be susceptible to misunderstanding or misuse Ability to understand the customer/media needs quickly and develop appropriate response, and to apply effective and empathetic listening in conversations with customers Ability to quickly utilize reference manuals and online resources Strong work ethic and team player mentality Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
