Hollie Costello serves as the Director of Public Relations and Marketing for Make-A-Wish® Arizona, the state chapter of the 501(c)(3) international wish granting organization, Make-A-Wish®. With more than 16 years of experience in marketing, public relations and journalism, she has worked in multiple industries including media, travel, technology and health care but she is happiest in her new role helping to grant wishes for children with life-threatening medical conditions. She previously served on the IABC Phoenix Board from 2005 to 2008 in the role of VP of Professional Development and Director of the Copper Quills awards. A journalism major from University of Arizona, she is a proud Wildcat and even living in Tempe for the past 16 years cannot break her. In fact, she is a graduate of the Tempe Leadership program and acted as President of the Board of Directors for Tempe Leadership in 2014-2015, guiding a 24- person volunteer board in support of the adult and youth leadership programs. Outside of work, she loves to travel to see new places or head home to St. Louis to spend time with her family.
Sarah Rockey is a skillful public relations and social media strategist with extensive knowledge of the trends, technology, and influencers needed for making connections across both the traditional and digital worlds. She has experience in an eclectic range of industries; from developing marketing campaigns for the performing arts and events industry, to building brands and bringing awareness to companies and products across B2B and B2C clients in a fast-paced agency environment. From there, she took her skills in-house, translating complex technology concepts into integrated digital strategies to drive recognition, relevance and resonance on a global scale. She is currently the corporate public relations and social media manager at ON Semiconductor, where she was recently honored with the 2016 Employee of the Year award. Her second year on the IABC Phoenix Board, Sarah will be responsible for identifying and executing innovative ways to reach, engage, and connect Valley communicators as well as be responsible for the organization’s digital presence. Sarah is an avid runner – from where all her bright ideas originate and which provides great training for chasing her toddler.
Shelley Nelson, MBA, brings more than 15 years of professional experience in strategic marketing planning, community involvement and marketing communications for nonprofits, small businesses and Fortune 500 companies. Her passion is seeing people experience a brighter future than they may have imagined. Shelley loves creating marketing and communications plans that bring new and established audiences closer to the organization’s mission. She uses the power of storytelling to drive awareness and response as well as double donations, move products and sell out events. In her free time, Shelley enjoys teaching in her role as Adjunct Faculty, serving as a Children’s Leader in Bible Study Fellowship, decorating and swimming.
Stefanie Becker is a Digital Project Manager at Serendipit Consulting specializing in digital marketing and lead generation for a wide range of clients. Stefanie earned her Bachelor’s from Arizona State and quickly found her passion in the fast-paced agency environment. As IABC Phoenix’s VP of Communications, Stefanie is responsible for leading internal and external communications through a wide range of channels including social media and email marketing.
Tressa Jumps is the founder of HELD Communications, LLC, which provides design, web content, copywriting, editing and marketing. Previously, she was the Executive Director of Marketing and Communications for the largest community college in Arizona, where she was honored with the 2015 Communicator of the Year Award from the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations. Prior to her tenure in academia, she created the award-winning brand for the city of Glendale, Arizona’s acclaimed 2008 Super Bowl brand, “Glendale’s Got Game.” She established her marketing and design expertise at Anhueser-Busch Entertainment Corporation, creating content, curriculum and marketing products for SeaWorld and Busch Gardens. Tressa graduated from the University of South Florida with a Master’s in Mass Communications. She volunteers her time as a lay counselor for a program that helps women transition from abusive pasts and break the cycle of dysfunction in their lives.
Loren Yaskin ABC
Loren Yaskin is the founder of The Flip Side Communications, LLC which specialize in video production, employee communications, public relations and media training. She was an internal communications consultant at The Vanguard Group and an employee communications manager at PetSmart. At Edelman Public Relations Worldwide, Loren created and implemented national public relations programs for KFC, Honeywell, Snapple, and PetSmart. At Delta Dental Plan of Arizona, Loren chaired the Healthy Smiles Partnership, a public/private endeavor between Delta Dental, the Phoenix Coyotes, the City of Phoenix and the Department of Oral Health to raise awareness of oral health for kids, leading its public relations efforts in Arizona. Loren graduated from Northwestern University. In her free time, Loren enjoys spending time with her family, trying new recipes and making jewelry.
