The Communication Revolution: Engaging audiences in changing times
Tuesday, Oct.19, 2010, 8 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Arizona Disability Empowerment Center
5025 E. Washington St. Ste. 200, Phoenix, AZ 85034
Join IABC leaders and multiple Gold Quill winners Mark Schumann, ABC, and Suzanne Salvo as they present a half-day seminar focused on the communication revolution and how to prepare for it. Presentation topics are:
Organizational transparency
Explore how strategic planning offers the communicator the foundation to reach beyond a command of message and media to preserve an organization’s soul as it deals with critical events. Attendees will learn how the communicator must emerge as a guardian of an organization’s conscience, and at times, a voice of reason when discussions turn to spin.
The revolution in visual communications
Most communicators come from a word background and know little about visual communications. Attendees will learn:
* The five steps needed to prepare a strategic corporate image plan
* Steps for creating a basic visual grammar primer
* The essential elements of an effective image

Following the presentations, Mark and Suzanne will discuss the future of our profession. Betsy Pasley, ABC, past chair of IABC’s Southern Region, will moderate and field questions from attendees.
Take advantage of the nearly 100 years of business and communication experience represented by these IABC leaders and join the conversation to be strategic and Be Heard®.
